Christmas is only two weeks away, but that doesn’t stop us from watching the comfort Christmas movies we grew up on. These films bring back that nostalgic, cozy feeling we all crave during the holidays.
After talking with a few CPHS students about their favorite Christmas classics, each movie had its own meaning for each person.
Senior Evelyn Ortiz said her favorite is Home Alone 2. She enjoyed this movie as a kid because,
“It’s a kid in a home, and the kid can just party. It makes me feel nice,” Ortiz said.
Another senior, Evelyn Kutach, chose Love Actually. She explained,
“We watch it every Christmas at my grandma’s house because it’s her favorite. It’s like a tradition. It gives me a nostalgic feeling,” Kutach said.
And lastly, senior Destiny Kelly shared her love for A Christmas Enchantment, a princess movie she grew up with.
“I like to sing it, and I like the songs. I grew up watching it,” Kelly said.
Everyone has that one movie that just feels like Christmas. Whether it’s parties in a New York hotel, sweet love stories, or singing along with magical princesses, these movies take us right back to being kids.
So grab some hot chocolate, turn on that childhood favorite, and enjoy the vibes. It’s officially Christmas movie time.
