With the NFL season 5 months away, teams must get ready and begin to enhance their teams in the best ways possible. So here are the best 10 picks made in the 2026 NFL draft.
1.) Round 1, 11th overall pick- S Caleb Downs (Dallas Cowboys)
The Cowboys being able to pick up Caleb Downs in the 11th pick was an unbelievable steal that is going to really help this struggling Cowboys defense. In the 2025 season, the Cowboys were one of the worst teams when it came to yards allowed. They were ranked 30th. But with Caleb Downs’ production and playmaking abilities, he is going to greatly boost this team and put them back into a highly competitive team.
2.) Â Round 1, 14th overall pick- OG Olaivavega Ioane (Baltimore Ravens)
With the Ravens losing Daniel Faalele and Tyler Linderbaum from the inside O-line, this was a necessary and perfect pick for the Ravens. Ioane is going to be a great fit for this organization. His physical and explosive strength will really fill in that gap that the Ravens needed to be filled.
3.) Â Round 1, 12th overall pick – OT Kadyn Proctor (Miami Dolphins)
For the Dolphins, it’s definitely offensive tackle Kadyn Proctor. The Dolphins are really focusing on fixing their offensive line, and this pick was a great start. Out of 985 snaps, Proctor only allowed 2 sacks and 4 hits. Kadyn is going to be a huge help to quarterback Malik Willis.
4.) Â Round 2, 36th overall pick – DT Kayden McDonald (Houston Texans)
McDonald will be another perfect addition to the Texans’ already dominant defense. Last year, the Texans were ranked number one overall in fewest yards allowed, allowing only 4,713 yards. McDonald’s relentless, energetic defense is going to really be a brick wall to any running plays.
5.) Round 1, 2nd overall pick – EDGE David Bailey (New York Jets)
Wow, did the Jets need this pick, especially since the Jets ranked 31st in sacks last year. Bailey’s explosiveness and ability to attack any angle and still be able to get to the quarterback are what make him so elite.Â
6.) Â Round 2, 46th overall pick – S Bud Clark (Seattle Seahawks)
Clark is going to be making some big plays with this team. With his versatility to play in many positions on the defense and his skill with awareness combo is going to lead to some huge takeaways.
7.) Â Round 2, 55th overall pick – EDGE Gabe Jacas (New England Patriots)
Jacas is going to be a great fit for the Patriots. He can overwhelm offensive tackles with his heavy power and his versatility, too. While playing for Illinois, he led the Big Ten in sacks.
8.) Â Round 2, 48th overall pick – CB Avieon Terrell (Atlanta Falcons)
Terell will join his older brother A.J Terrell in playing for the Falcons, and has the potential to become a turnover machine for them. Terell is just what the Falcons needed to make a potential playoff appearance.
9.) Â Round 4, 108th overall pick – RB Jonah Coleman (Denver Broncos)
Coleman is going to have fun in Denver with their heavy running back rotation, and Coleman is the perfect addition. Coleman has crazy body control and has elite vision, which will make him an elite playmaker and a formidable opponent.Â
10.) Â Round 3, 76th overall pick – QB Drew Allar (Pittsburgh Steelers)
With Mike McCarthy being the Steelers’ head coach, Allar has some great potential in the future. McCarthy has all the experience needed to shape Allar’s elite arm talent into a reliable starter in the future.
