Bananas actually contain trace amounts of radiation, but the amount is so tiny that it would take about 50 million bananas to obtain a lethal amount of radiation. Bananas are also known to contain potassium, but it would take about 400 bananas per day to get your heart to stop; your body would get rid of the extra potassium before potassium levels become dangerous.
Now, many people quote-unquote “need” their coffee in the morning, usually getting a burst of energy from the caffeine. But how much caffeine becomes lethal? Many people worry about caffeine consumption because of the risks and health problems, but it would take about 50 to 100 cups of coffee to overdose on caffeine. On a daily basis, however, no more than 400 milligrams of caffeine is advised to avoid health risks.
Water intoxication is a real thing, but it’s also hard to achieve for an average person. Water intoxication, or overhydration, can occur when you consume too much water in a span of time, for some people, being 1 gallon or more of water within a 1 to 2 hour window. According to the Cleveland Clinic, you know you’ve overhydrated when your urination runs clear or almost clear, and the recommended amount is 125 oz for males and 91 oz for females.
