The College Park fine arts got together and hosted a trunk or treat right outside the auditorium on September 18th, Families were invited to bring their children to walk around, play some games, and of course get some candy.
Students involved were told to pick a theme to decorate their car, and involve an interactive experience for the kids. Orchestra student officer Manuel Rivera chose to do Pokemon as his theme. Him and his team set up tons of pokemon plushies around the car, and even set up a “What’s that Pokemon?” quiz for the kids to play and win candy.
“When I was thinking about the theme, I wanted something inclusive that any kids of all ages could enjoy,” Rivera said.
Choir member Kyle Agudelo and his team set up a Despicable Me themed car. They would blindfold the kids and spin them around a couple of times. They would have to blindly put glasses as accurately as possible on a Minion.
“My favorite part was seeing the kids light up when they played our game and got candy,” Agudelo said.
Overall the event brought together the fine arts community and many families to enjoy lots of games and candy.
Head director of orchestra Mr. Emmanuel Coraza believes it’s important to host events like this “It builds community and allows students to get involved and build the College Park family,” Coraza said.
