With next fall fast approaching, several College Park seniors have committed to play sports in college. This month, 15 College Park athletes signed to the colleges of their choice to continue their academic and athletic journeys.
Six students have committed to continue playing football in college. Clint Rachel committed to the University of Houston, Rema Nwosu committed to Navarro College, Omar Cardenas and Terrance Wofford committed to Blinn College, Timothy Thomas committed to Montana State, and Justice Stokes committed to the Air Force Academy.
Three of our girls soccer players are continuing their athletic careers in college. Alexis Okland committed to University of South Carolina Sumter, Chloe Benko committed to Young Harris College, and Keira Dunlop committed to Occidental College.
Robbie Calzada and Stephen Michalsky both committed to play baseball next year, with Calzada committing to Mountain View College and Michalsky to Ranger College.
We also had two students commit to college for rowing. Isabella Lopez committed to Robert Morris University and Ava Andrews committed to the University of Central Oklahoma.
“I’m really looking forward to the change of pace and scenery that I think Pittsburg will offer me,” Lopez said.
Finally, Anna Leland committed to Depauw University for volleyball and Connor Logan committed to Augusta College for water polo.
“I am looking forward to growing as a student and an athlete at the next level,” Leland said.
