Life after graduation can seem scary to high school students. Students may ask, What do I do now? Where do I go? How do I survive without my parents? All these questions can swirl around in our heads and make us a little anxious, but it’s important to have a plan and to execute the plan in times of stress.
“My plan after high school is to go to college for architecture,” Mia Pruitt said. “I plan to work after graduation once I get my college degree.”
This is just one student’s plan out of the many, and not everyone’s plan will coincide with others. It’s important to keep in mind that everyone will pursue a different path after high school.
“After graduation, I look forward to working [at] summer job/internship, traveling with my family, and going off to college,” Jessica Wang said.
Life after high school does not have to be about starting college, it can be about fun plans for the summer. It can be challenging to get out of the mindset for example forgetting about grades, family trips, going to see friends, traveling, parties, etc.
“I plan on working after high school and building up my savings instead of going to college,” Jasmine Leavens said.
Some students will choose not to go to college, which does not prevent a person from having a plan. After high school, There are lots of opportunities, we have to go with the flow. The world is your oyster.
“I keep my mind open to possibilities and taking chances,” Sophia Petrosino said.
