College Park Debate hosted their Annual Debate tournament on the weekend of the first. They had about 400 kids attend and compete here at College Park. The students showed great hospitality and great skills, keeping some of the awards at home. The following students placed in the competition:

In policy debate, Jessie Merriwether and Sarah Synek Placed first, qualifying them for state, and Olivet Ojajuni and Bailey Fischer are semifinalists.

In duet acting, Jessie Merriwether and Lucy Garcia placed third, and Katelyn Reed and Finley DesOrmeaux finished fourth.

In congressional debate, Shil Kulkarni and Ella Knybel are finalists.

In Dramatic Interpretation, Finley DesOrmeaux got fifth.

 In duo interpretation, Lacy Garcia and Katelynn Reed took first, and James Massey  and Finley DesOrmeaux placed fifth.

In Humorous Interpretation, Lucy Garcia came in second.

In Novice Extemporaneous Speaking, Sophia Rhodes placed third, and Olivia Mulligan placed fourth.

In Original Oratory, Sarah Synek placed sixth and qualified for state.

The overall tournament MVP was Lucy Garcia!
