At the end of this summer, a new restaurant was put on my radar. My mom follows the woodlands foodies on Facebook and she came across this new restaurant, called Bon Meat Eatery. We decided to go, and despite the façade we were in for an hour of the best meals ever.
Banh Mi Eater opened in January, and has outstanding views from across the area. Located at 3835 Farm to Market 2920 Suite A, Spring they offer some of the best Vietnamese food and Banh Mi in the area. Banh mi is a sandwich made with a baguette and filled with your choice of meat, pork, chicken, or beef, fresh vegetables, cilantro, jalapeños, and butter. The eatery also serves vermicelli with your choice of meat and served with mixed veggies. Vermicelli is essentially a broken down Banh mi, instead of having bread it has noodles. Additionally, they serve egg rolls, spring rolls, fried pickles, and chicken wings.
I was lucky enough to try the eatery out during my last week of the summer. When I went I got the vermicelli with beef, and it was to die for. I loved all of it, the meat was cooked perfectly, and the vegetables added the perfect amount of freshness to the meal. Vermicelli reminded me of pho, but without the warm soup part which made it perfect for a hot summer day. The eatery also serves Thai teas, the tea is bright orange in color due to the spices added to the black tea. Personally, I wasn’t crazy about the tea. It was very sweet and had a large depth of flavors, but was too much sweetness.
Overall, Banh Mi eatery is something outside of the box. It offers a new outlook on food in our area, and I definitely think it is worth a try.
