TWCP Theatre has taken on the play, Peter and the Starcatcher which debuted last night at 7 pm in the auditorium.  

“Opening night went great,” ensemble in the play and junior Ricky Khun said. “Of course, there were problems here and there but we all worked together to get around them, the cast are the sweetest people ever.”

Peter and the Starcatcher is a play based on the 2004 best-selling novel by Dave Barry and Ridley Pearson, adapted for the stage by Rick Elice. The novel tells the story of how an orphan boy becomes the infamous Peter Pan.

“I’m ensemble in this show but specifically, I’m a pirate on the Wasp (Black Stache’s Ship, famously known as Captain Hook) and also a mermaid in the second act,” junior Liberty Parks said. “I like playing an ensemble for different reasons than playing a bigger or “lead” role because you are always interacting with other people and you can rely on the fact that you’re all doing the same thing in the show.” 

The event will also show tonight, April 24, and 25 at 7 pm in the auditorium. Tickets are available at the location for $10 or on the theatre’s website for $6-8 each. Doors will open 30 minutes prior to the event and will lock after the first 15 minutes of the play. Come for the night and support the theater for an adventure you’ll never forget.
