New Coach in Town

A new chapter begins as Kyle Coats, former co-defensive coordinator for DeSoto High School, replaces Coach Madison. Coats will lead the football program and will be the campus athletic director.  

Coats comes from DeSoto outside the Dallas area. Prior to his time at DeSoto, he coached at Westwood High School in Round Rock, Texas. He was a defensive quality control analyst for the University of Texas, the defensive coordinator at East Texas Baptist, was a special teams coordinator and defensive backs coach at Hardin-Simmons, and he was the assistant coach at Trinity University. 

In DeSoto, he made playoffs seven times in 17 seasons, one playoff win, and one district title. College Park is his first time head coaching, we are excited to see what he brings to CP, find out more in his interview soon.
