HOSA Goes to State

In the fast-paced world of medical professionals, students are starting early with the Health Occupation Students of America (HOSA) program. HOSA encourages career opportunities in the health industry through contests in categories such as Epidemiology, Pharmacy Science, and Medical Assisting.

On Feb. 10 and 11 a total of six College Park students qualified for the state competition after competing in the Area contest at Tomball Memorial High School.

Results for qualifiers are as follows:

  • Senior Jacob Dixon- Medical Math
  • Senior Eleanor Rouswell- Pharmacy Science
  • Junior Madaline Phan- Biotechnology
  • Junior Nicholas Patel- Dental Science
  • Junior Victor Shah- Prepared Speaking
  • Sophomore Chun-yu Hsiao- Medical Math

These students will represent Area 6 in the HOSA State Contest on March 28-30 in the Kalahari Resort at Round Rock, Texas.
