Goodbye Carlos
March 25, 2022
The Houston Astros star short-stop Carlos Correa signed a deal with the Minnesota Twins and is going to play with them for the next three years. Correa was formally introduced to the Minnesota Twins on Wednesday March 16th, where he put on his new No. 4 Twins jersey. Carlos officially signed the $105.3 million contract the following Friday, March the 18th, and will be baseball’s highest paid infielder. Carlos committed to three years in Minnesota, hoping to help “build a championship culture” to the team. The Minnesota Twins have lost 18 postseason games, and their last victory was in October of 2004. Alex Bregman, third baseman for the Houston Astros, posted on his instagram, “Leader, Winner, Hard Worker, Great Teammate, Great friend, Great human being. Thank you for leading us, teaching us, and being there for us always. We love you Los.” For Houston, seeing Carlos leave will be hard, but it will be exciting to see how the rest of his career holds for him.
