Hispanic Heritage Month

Hispanic/ Latin X Heritage Month takes place every year from Sept. 15th through Oct. 15th, to commemorate the countries that became independent many years ago, and also by giving recognition to the positive impact Hispanics have had on American culture.
All of the Central American countries such as Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, and Nicaragua gained independence from Spain on September 15th, shortly after Mexico and Chile followed.
American Culture has been impacted in many different ways due to Hispanic influence, such as in cuisine, movies, arts around every corner.
Houston has many places you could visit to experience Latin culture in action such as, the Greater East End.
Greater East End is known for its art galleries filled with the history of Hispanic culture, live music played by Latin bands, and also having many markets and festivals that sell Spanish cuisine and gifts.
Hispanic culture has not only influenced different places but also being celebrated in American media, posts of traditional foods, and music.
Spanish influence on American streaming such as futbol, or more commonly known in America as soccer. In the past many English channels weren’t able to stream this worldwide sport, so Spanish channels helped out and made it available to any Americans who were interested.
Other streaming services in the entertainment industry such as Netflix, Hulu, and Amazon Prime have a section dedicated to Latin X culture where you are able to watch documentaries, history, and movies centered on the impacts Latin X has on other cultures worldwide.
