After last year’s Homecoming was canceled due to the pandemic, many doubted that it would happen this year. This year the school is determined to let it happen. The homecoming dance themed “A Night in Paris,” originally planned for Saturday, Sept. 11th, is delayed to Saturday, Oct. 16th. The homecoming football game is still scheduled to happen on its original date, Thursday, Sept. 9th. against the Cypress Lakes Spartans, and the students could not have been more excited. 

“I’m so excited for all of the theme days, and I’m hoping we win the football game,” sophomore Karys Bryant said.   

On Tuesday, Sept. 7th the homecoming parade took place, where parents, students, and fans lined the road at Market Street. Accompanied by the CP Marching Band, the cheerleaders lead the parade, followed by the Reveliers, and the Varsity football team, riding in the bed of two of The Woodlands Fire Department high water rescue trucks. Senior football moms followed, then The  Red Wagon floats representing each feeder school Wilkerson Intermediate did a great job with their “Seize the Spartans” theme, and won the Red Wagon Contest. Other College Park organizations represented in the parade were Knox Cheer, Collins Intermediate, College Park Color Guard, Texas Torque, FFA, Cav Bots, Student Council, and Freshman football. The Homecoming Varsity Football Game was Thursday, Sept. 9th. Get your tickets for future games here.
